People
At F.I.L.A., we firmly believe that success is inextricably linked to the people who are part of the organization, as they represent a key factor for the Group’s competitiveness and development.
We are committed to ensuring safe, fair, and inclusive workplaces, operating in full respect of human dignity and the right to confidentiality and privacy protection. We listen to our people and adopt policies aimed at fostering the development of each employee’s skills and professional capabilities.
The Group is aware that its operations have an impact on the territories and local communities in which it operates. For this reason, we act in respect of human rights and promote concrete, shared initiatives in support of local communities. We are engaged in social projects worldwide, ranging from culture to scientific research.
The measures we adopt contribute to achieving the following Sustainable Development Goals:
Occupational health and safety certification
Protecting people’s health and safety in the workplace is a core value on which the F.I.L.A. Group bases the conduct and development of its activities, with the aim of preventing risks related to safety incidents that could cause tangible negative impacts. Across all Group companies, applicable regulations are complied with, factors affecting the working environment are analyzed, and practices are adopted to safeguard workers’ well-being.
Currently, the production sites of F.I.L.A. S.p.A. (the Pero plant and the Rufina offices), Canson France (Grand Murier, Moulin du Roy, and St. Germain), St. Cuthberts, F.I.L.A. Argentina, LYRA Germany, Dixon Ticonderoga Art, Canson Brazil, F.I.L.A. Arches, Canson Art & Craft Yixing Co., Ltd., and Dixon Mexico (Tultitlán and Oaxaca) are certified. Overall, 66% of the workforce is employed at sites with ISO 45001 certification.
Relationships with the supplier chain
The F.I.L.A. Group considers ethical and transparent business relationships to be a fundamental element of the responsible and sustainable management of its business. To this end, we have defined a “Code of Conduct for Suppliers and Business Partners” that sets out the general principles required to be respected at all levels in the management of the supply chain.
Starting in 2019, the parent company F.I.L.A. S.p.A. launched a structured project to engage key suppliers and assess their commitment to upholding corporate values such as integrity, respect for the environment, product quality, and the protection of human rights. In 2024, the Group set the goal of adopting the Code of Conduct for Suppliers and Business Partners and Green Procurement for 90% of goods suppliers with annual turnover exceeding €10,000.
Looking ahead, the Group intends to continue strengthening its initiatives along the supply chain, promoting continuous improvement in line with its sustainability strategy.
